Right of withdrawal

As a consumer you have 14 days to change your mind, without giving a reason and without penalty (Articles L.221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code).

The period

The 14-day period runs from the day you, or a third party you designate, take physical possession of the goods. If the order is delivered in several parts, it runs from receipt of the last item.

Does it apply to olive oil?

Yes. A sealed bottle of extra virgin olive oil has a long shelf life and is not treated by us as a perishable good, so the right of withdrawal applies in full. You have 14 days to return an unopened, sealed bottle. For hygiene and food-safety reasons, opened or unsealed bottles cannot be returned or exchanged. That limit rests on the hygiene exception of Article L.221-28 4°, not on perishability.

How to exercise it

Tell us of your decision by any unambiguous statement — email or letter to family@miladyandco.com or 22 rue Pierre Curie, 50120 Cherbourg-en-Cotentin, France — before the period expires. You may use the standard form below, though you are not obliged to.

Returning the goods

Return the goods without undue delay and at the latest within 14 days of telling us. Return shipping costs are borne by the consumer. Write to family@miladyandco.com first and we confirm the return address for your order.

Refund

We refund all sums paid, including standard delivery costs, without undue delay and at the latest within 14 days of receiving the goods back or proof of dispatch, using the same means of payment unless you agree otherwise.
